Dear Yocum Families,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year at the BEST SCHOOL IN THE UNIVERSE!!   Our goal is to keep kids healthy, happy and safe so that they learn and grow.  Drop off and pick up procedures are staggered to ensure social distancing.  (Please refer to the video link in this message for details.  Note that temperatures will NOT be taken).  Yocum drop off is 8:45am - 9:05am and pick up is 2:50 -3:15pm.

All forms including medical must be completed on the Genesis Parent Portal which will be opened on August 18th.  It is important that you take the time to review and sign all forms.  The Maple Shade Student/Parent Handbook will also be located on the Portal.  Please read this carefully to become familiar with the policies and procedures of the school.  Once all the forms are completed, you will be able to see your child's teacher.

Six pre-k classrooms are located in the preschool wing of the High School.  If your child’s teacher is Buchko, Cooper, Mannello, McGough, Myers or Reber, they are located at the High School and you will get specific drop off and pick up information in their letter and can also view it by clicking on the attached map/instructions.

Meet the Teacher

The “Meet the Teacher” event will take place on Thursday, September 2nd.  Time and location are attached to this email.   Only one adult may accompany a child.  Parents and students must wear masks when on property at all times.  Your teacher will only be there for their specified time.  This is a quick hello and supply drop off.

The First Day of School -   Tuesday, September 7, 2021.  Send your child how they will normally be arriving (bus, car, walker)  It’s important to establish a routine on the first day of school.
